Considering how much money has disappeared from my bank account over the past month thanks to all the sales going on in London and online, I'm starting to fear I may never actually get around to buying any of the AW pieces when they come into stores after the summer. My fashion week wardrobe is going to look distinctly out of date at this rate... However, I am one step closer to having that fabulous Meadham Kirchhoff collection in my life, thanks to the Secret Store in the Oxford Circus Topshop. Whilst inside you can find goodies by the likes of Pamela Love (some super-cheap collaboration pieces) and Nazir Mazhar (sadly the hats are at the full couture-worthy price, although there are some more affordable futuristic hair combs), the store-front was decorated by the Meadham Kirchhoff boys to look like a flower shop, and this is where I indulged some of my pocket money last weekend. Ever the frugal fowl, I decided to go for a nice bunch of gypsophila which dries out quickly and lasts a lifetime, rather than some flimsy flowers which would have gone to rot within a few days. I've had much fun positioning Snufkin amongst the flowers, who bears a striking resemblance to some of the AW Meadham Kirchhoff models.
The bunch also came wrapped in some rather fetching turquoise and black leopard-print fabric, which should go rather nicely with my hair when I get it dip-dyed tomorrow (eeeeeek)!
And here, my shrine to owls and the naked male form...
