Possibly some of the most bonkers, and totally fabulous, hats I saw the Blow press day were designed by Piers Atkinson, a milliner who likes to create his own crazy mixed-up world, mainly because he lives in one himself. It seems like Piers is living the fashionisto dream - a designer (with Zandra Rhodes, no less), a milliner, a magazine editor (founding the London Fashion Week daily), a PR assistant (with heavyweight Mandi Lennard!) and collaborating with Andrew Logan on the Alternative Miss World. That is some fashion CV. For S/S, Piers's world is very floral, very feminine, and just a little bit kooky. I love the Mickey Mouse ear shaped design of the flower headpieces, which are just dying to find themselves on the head of Anna dello Russo. And the Lilliputians decorating the straw hats add such a cute touch of frivolity. Oh we do like to be beside the seaside...
