Have you seen Beyoncé's new video for Why don't you love me?? It's kooky and kitsch, and just a little bit cray-cray, with its old-school look (clothing, set and videography). Although I'm not mad about the song, or the complete video for that matter, I take my hat off to the stylist, so to speak. I'm glad to see the return of her short fringe in some scenes - I know it's a bit 'gansta' but I really think it suits her. The 1960s eye make-up is great, a little like Julianne Moore's in A Single Man, which I loved, btw:
In terms of the clothes, I think the floral/black bustier is hot, but the glasses were the best pieces there! Just the right side of Dame Edna Everage (actually, I'm not sure if it's possible to look too Dame Edna?), which reminded me how much I want these glasses by Alexander Wang for Linda Farrow:
as well as these from the Prada Autumn/Winter 2010 collection:
Anyway, who can say no to a lady in a swimsuit and high-heels slurping down dirty martinis (my fave tipple) like there's no tomorrow?
